COVID-19 Update for Monday, June 29 | Around The Town

As of noon Monday, June 29, there are a total of 57,081 reported cases of COVID-19 in the state of Louisiana since the start of the pandemic, according to the Louisiana Department of Health website. Louisiana had its first confirmed case on March 9.
Additionally, 704,637 residents have been tested; the death toll is 3,091 and 42,225 are presumed recovered. And, 737 folks are hospitalized with 79 of those on ventilators.
Natchitoches Parish positive cases total 28 with 14 reported deaths and 3,342 residents tested.
Sabine Parish positive case total 77 with one death and 2,665 residents tested.
Vernon Parish positive cases total 116with seven deaths and 3,733 residents tested.
In the United Sates, there are 2.59 million confirmed cases with 789,000 presumes recovered and 128,000 deaths. According to the COVID tracking project, 30.9 million Americans have been tested.
Worldwide, there are 10.2 million cases with 5.17 million presumed recovered and 503,000 deaths.
