As of noon, Monday, June 22, there are 50,239 reported cases of COVID-19 in the state of Louisiana which equates to 1.09 percent of the overall estimated population of 4.6 million have been infected.
Additionally, 618,064 residents have been tested which means 8.1 percent tested positive and 91.9 percent tested negative. The death toll is 3,004 and 39,792 are presumed recovered. And, 630 folks are hospitalized with COVID-19 with 77 of those on ventilators.
Natchitoches Parish positive cases total 192 which equates to 0.5 percent of the overall estimated population of 38,000 have been infected. The death toll stands at 13. Furthermore, 3,124 residents have been tested which means 6.1 percent of those tested positive and 93.9 percent of those tested negative.
Sabine Parish positive cases total 61 which equates to .25 percent of the overall estimated population of 24,000 has been infected. The death toll stands at one. And, 2,387 residents have been tested which means 2.5 percent of those tested received a positive result and 97.5 percent tested received a negative result.
Vernon Parish positive cases total 77 which means .16 percent of the overall estimated population of 47,400 have been infected. The death toll is at five. Additionally, 3,248 residents have been tested which equates to 2.3 percent of those tested received a positive result and 97.7 percent of those tested received a negative result.
Nationwide there are 2.32 million confirmed cases with 722,000presumed recovered and 122 million reported deaths.
Worldwide there are nine million confirmed cases with 4.47 million presumed recovered and 469 reported deaths.
