As of noon, Wednesday, June 10, there are 44,030 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state according to the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and 460,120 residents tested which equates to 9.5 percent of those tested have the virus and 90.5 percent of those tested no not have the virus. With an estimated population of 4.6 million, .957 percent of the overall population have or have had the virus.
Also in the state, there are 33,904 presumed recovered and 2,855 reported deaths in the state. 549 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized with 72 of those are on ventilators.
Natchitoches Parish positive cases total 180 with 2,398 tested and 13 deaths.
Sabine Parish positive cases total 53 with 1,401 tested and no deaths.
Vernon Parish positive cases total 39 with 2,160 residents tested and three deaths.
Nationwide totals are 2.03 million positive cases with 603,000 presumed recovered and 114,000 deaths. According to the COVID Tracking Project 21 million people in the U.S. have been tested for the virus.
Globally, there are 7.04 million positive cases with 404,000 deaths.
