The Natchitoches City Council unanimously approved a resolution changing the location of a utility easement across the property where the Hobby Lobby is being built on Keyser Ave. Such action took place during a special called meeting on May 5.
Mayor Lee Posey noted the current easement ran through the middle of the property which made it difficult to build parking lot among other issues. There was no opposition to the change.
As there were no other agenda items, the meeting was quickly adjourned. All board members– Lawrence Batiste, Dale Nielsen, Don Mims, Councilman Eddie Harrington, and Sylvia Morrow—were in attendance.
