Friday, May 15 COVID-19 Update | Around The Town

Coronav Update

As of noon Thursday, May 14, there are 33,837 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, which is 348 more cases than yesterday.
Of the total positive cases, 22,608 are presumed recovered. Furthermore, 253,189 Louisianans have been tested for the virus, which means 219,352 that were tested for the virus tested negative.
Additionally, statewide 1,091 are being treated in a hospital with 132 of those on ventilators. Reported deaths total 2,382 and unconfirmed deaths are 66.

Global positive cases total 4.48 million with 1.61 million recovered and 304,000 deaths. The world population is estimated at 7.8 billion.
