“Many High School 2020 graduates are not walking, they are rolling into the future,” said Many mayor Ken Freeman A special event to honor the 95 local high school graduates is taking place Saturday, June 6, with a reception for the graduates and their families in the town hall at 4 p.m..
Then, said Mayor Freeman, the entire community is invited to gather along San Antonio Street to enjoy a different kind of commencement complete with pomp and circumstance. The commencement parade will feature each MHS senior in cap and gown rolling through downtown Many in decorated cars and trucks.
“Graduation is such a milestone in students’ lives,” commented Mayor Freeman, “and since they could not have a graduation ceremony exercise this year, tthe Town has planned a big celebration. “ He cited the idea was the brainchild of MHS counselor May Ebarb and the town stepped up to the plate to assist. The theme is, “We’re not walking, we’re rolling into our future!” Seniors and their families will receive a special invitation to the reception and accompanying parade, concluded Mayor Freeman.
