As a way to encourage social distancing, on April 4 all stores began using a single entrance, most often using the Grocery entrance. We’ve also set up queue lines that are staffed with associates and lots of social distancing signage to remind customers how important it is to stay 6 feet apart.
At that time, we also began to limit the number of customers who can be in a store at once. Stores now allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time, roughly 20 percent of a store’s capacity
Then starting April 7, we revised the single entrance policy and began opening a second door in our stores with multiple entrances to queue customers and further encourage social distancing.
We are in the process of rolling out one-way aisles. It will roll to all stores over the next week or two.
