Felix Sonny LaCaze

June 22, 1945 – April 9, 2020

Sonny, 74 years of age passed away at his home in Natchitoches on April 9, 2020. He was born on June 22, 1945 to Carroll LaCaze and Christine Moreau LaCaze. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a Vietnam War Veteran. Always wanting to be in the woods hunting or on the lake or bayou fishing. He loved to look for treasures along the banks, boat landings or the side of the road. Whether it was a cork, hook, rope, knife or just what ever, he had an eye to find it. He also loved to tinker around the house making things and turning something old and useless into something useful again.

   Sonny was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of First Baptist Church Provencal and loved his pastor and church family.

   He is proceeded in death by his parents Carroll LaCaze and Christine Moreau LaCaze, sister Betty LaCaze Wallace, and grandsons Gregory Singletary and Conner Miller.

   He is survived by his loving wife Martha LaCaze of 34 years. Two sons Tray LaCaze and wife Lynn and Cory LaCaze and wife Amber. Three step daughters Cecile Chelette and husband John, Trudy Theriot and husband Hilton and Christi Miller and husband Bryan. Grandchildren Kolbie, Quinton and Alana Chelette, Ashlyn Miller and fiancé Cody Williams, B.J. And Kasey Miller. Two great grandchildren Raelyn and Rhyss Williams. Sisters Edna Cardino and husband Fred, Nina Kay and husband Kenneth and Lawana Groth and husband Larry.

   There will be a private graveside memorial service at the Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery at a later date.
