Orleans and Jefferson parishes continue to be the hot spots for Louisiana coronavirus . As of Sunday, April 5, the two parishes reported 4,066 and 3,008 cases, respectively, according to the Louisiana Public Health (LDH) website. LDH data was updated at noon.
Additionally, Sabine Parish has five reported cases with 64 tests completed. Natchitoches Parish has
14 reported cases with 140 completed tests. Statewide cases total 13,010 which is 514 more than yesterday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Louisiana Office of Public Health continue to closely monitor the outbreak and continue to urge folks to shelter at home.
