Saturday, April 4 COVID-19 Update: Natchitoches Parish has 15 cases, Sabine Parish has four
Natchitoches Parish reported cases of coronavirus have jumped to 15 while Sabine Parish remains steady at four, according to data provided by the Louisiana Department of Health website as of 12:40 p.m. Saturday, April 4.
And statewide cases total 12,496, which is an increase of 2,199 from yesterday. Cameron, Tensas and West Carroll parishes are the only communities in the state with no reported cases, while Orleans and Jefferson parishes have over 3,000 cases each.
Folks are reminded Governor John Bel Edwards has extended his stay at home order through April 30. Only leave your home if it is necessary for essential work or for essential items. And when you are out purchasing essential items, maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others to help prevent the spread of the illness.
Additionally, the town of Many has issued a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. which means folks cannot be on the city streets including Hwy. 6, Hwy. 171 and San Antonio Ave during those hours. Exceptions include those going to and coming from a job that is defined as essential, and emergency situations.
