Louisiana COVID-19 cases continue to escalate. As of noon, Thursday, April 2, according to the Louisiana Department of Health there are 9,150 cases statewide, which is a 2,726 increase over the previous day. Natchitoches and Sabine parishes report four cases each.
Of the state’s 64 parishes, only three– Cameron, Tensas and West Carroll—have no reported cases.
Earlier this week, Governor John Bel Edwards announced he will likely extend the current stay at home order set to expire April 13 to at least through April 30 as cases continue to intensify.
