Natchitoches 911 announces new guidelines for 911 address applications | Around The Town

In anticipation of need and recognizing the potential risks associated with the COVID-19 virus, the Natchitoches Parish 9-1-1 Communications District has announced more stringent measures aimed at protecting the NATCOM 9-1-1 facility, and our public safety call takers and dispatchers from the spread of the COVID-19 virus. In addition to internal controls, until further notice all visits and tours of the NATCOM facility are cancelled. 9-1-1 Address Applications will continue to be processed BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at an outside location near the main entrance to the facility. Call 357-8300 for appointments.

Fire Chief John Wynn, Chairman of the Communications Commission, urges everyone to remain vigilant against this threat, and cooperate with federal, state, and local officials in the fight against the Corona virus. “We are taking these actions to ensure that you continue to have quick and easy access to public safety services by protecting your 9-1-1 system here in Natchitoches Parish”.
