Natchitoches Parish school closures due to Louisiana coronavirus concern | Around The Town

Just like all public K-12 school districts across the state,  Natchitoches Parish Schools  are closed   effective Monday, March 16, and continuing through Sunday, April 12, in an effort to slow the spread of  coronavirus in Louisiana. Such action was declared by Governor John Bel Edwards.

Natchitoches Parish Schools were scheduled to be off April 13 as part of its Easter Break but with the unexpected extended break, classes will be held that day.

According to the Louisiana Department of Health, there are currently 36 presumptive positive coronavirus cases in Louisiana. Confirmed cases are in Orleans, St. Tammany, Terrebonne, St. Charles and St. Bernard parishes. To date there are no  confirmed cases in Natchitoches Parish.
