Presented by Vaughn Natchitoches and hosted by Natchitoches Regional Medical Center (NRMC), the event raises funds for NRMC Foundation’s fight against breast cancer. Special thanks to Forge Sponsor, NSU Demon’s Unlimited; Courage Sponsors CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini and Wurster Oil; and the Sassy Bag Swag Sponsor, Engage Federal Credit Union.
Research shows that 1 in every 8 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives, but with early detection and treatment female breast cancer deaths have decreased in recent years according to the National Cancer Institute. NRMC Foundation’s generous sponsors and participants in the Steel Magnolia Run have helped fund NRMC’s new Breast Center and ongoing efforts to increase awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment. With the latest in 3D digital mammography, the Center provides easy access to screening for breast cancer and other breast health concerns. No doctor’s order is required, just call 318.214.4265 to schedule a mammogram.
NRMC has partnered with Comfort Suites Hotel in Natchitoches to provide a special rate for race participants. Please call (318) 228-8816 and mention “Steel Magnolia Run.”
