Daryl Glenn Brasell – Obituary | Around The Town

Daryl-Glenn-Brasell

Our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, Daryl Glenn Brasell, was born March 3, 1971, in Baytown, Texas, and went home to his Savior Jan. 8, 2020, at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. He will be grievously missed by all who loved him.

Glenn’s greatest achievement was when he received his degree as an RN. Coworkers and friends attest to me of the many people he nursed back to health and the compassion he carried for each of them. He loved being able to help others and was a very intelligent person who was a great asset to the medical field as an RN for over 20 years.
He was an avid hunter and lover of nature. Kisatchie National Forest was his favorite place to hunt, camp or hike. It brought him much happiness and peace.
At a later date his ashes will be spread here as his place of rest per his wishes.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Glenn Brasell; grandparents, Curtis E. Slaughter and Yvonne Foshee Slaughter and Johnny and Ruby Brasell; and uncles, Alfred “Butch” Calhoun and Charles Simmons.

He is survived by his mother, Annette Slaughter Brasell-Neugent and husband Ronald Neugent of Robeline; one brother, Gary Dean Brasell of Natchitoches; uncle, Howard Irvin Slaughter (his best buddy) and wife Mary A. Mabrey Slaughter of Vowells Mill; aunts, Theresa Slaughter Calhoun of Vowells Mill and Belinda Slaughter Simmons-Ancelot and husband Larry of Hemphill; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A special heartfelt, “Thank you” to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Willis-Knighton Pierremont Hospital for their compassionate and kind care of my beloved son.
Philippians 1:3 “I t hank my God upon every remembrance of you”
