A private graveside service was held today at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches for Hazel Briley Stallings, age 96.
Mrs. Stallings was born March 20, 1923, in Denning, Texas and passed away in Nacogdoches on January 7, 2020.
She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and to being a true friend to many others. Mrs. Stallings was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
She is preceded in death by husband, William Driscoll “Bill” Stallings; parents E. D. and Pearl Briley; sisters Irene Coussons and Joyce Lynch; brothers Rex Briley and James Briley.
Hazel is survived by: son, David Stallings and wife, Jean, daughter, Debra Stallings-Gaston, daughter, Dayna Stallings-O’Con and husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Todd Stallings, Drew Stallings and wife Katie, Seth Alexander and wife, Heather, Miriam Stewart and husband Anthony; great-grandchildren, Hazel Alexander, Ezekiel Martinez and Eliana Stewart.
